Teaching team:

We have a team of 10 native teachers from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. All of them are qualified and have proven experience in the teaching of Arabic as a foreign language.

In Cadmus we believe in the importance of continuous teacher training and in this sense we are a pioneer center in the organization of courses, seminars and exams aimed at the training of teachers of Arabic.

The Cadmus method:

We use our own method for teaching Arabic as a foreign language that has been developed and improved over the years at our center in Barcelona according to the standards of the Common European Framework for language teaching. From the initial level all classes develop in Arabic, with a clear emphasis in conversation. Our material allows students to acquire the ability to read and write quickly in a few weeks and to reach an intermediate level (B1) by the third year of study.

The name of Cadmus

According to Greek mythology the God Zeus kidnapped Europe, a Phoenician princess from the city of Tyre on the Lebanese coast. Her brother, Prince Cadmus, went after her and arrived in Greece where he searched for the princess without being able to find her. During his stay there Cadmus taught the Greeks how to write using the Phoenician alphabet which eventually gave rise to the development of Greek script. 

His sister was never rescued but in her honor the Greeks named our continent.
